A Bright Spot Named Carroll
I’ve let two months slip by without a newsletter, but here’s hoping I stay the course from now on! Social media has become a toxic place, I’ll just put it bluntly. If I didn’t need to market my books, I would probably barely use it. Sometimes though, a phenomenon, something unprecedented, comes along that brings everyone together, and it’s heartening to see. Watching social media’s collective awe over the Artemis expedition, the beautiful images of the earth, and the colors on the moon we’ve never seen before has been incredible. I cried for hours over the bright spot on the moon getting named Carroll after the commander’s late wife, what an astounding and gorgeous tribute for him to literally give her the moon. The romance writer in me cannot handle it. I mean, how are any of my MMCs going to top THAT? It gives me hope in these insane times, and the moon joy has been the biggest source of serotonin lately.
I’m deep into drafting my latest novel, Take the Floor, because it’s due to my developmental editor in 9 days. Send thoughts and creative vibes to get this beauty done! I am SO happy with how it’s coming out, though! Leo and Sophie are my fiery rivals turned dance partners turned lovers, and they are so hot together. I can’t stop obsessing over this gorgeous character art of them!
Like, I can’t even stand how gorgeous Sophie’s spicy little Latin dance number is, and Leo in that sheer shirt?? Please! The cover reveal is going to be in just under a month on May 8, so keep an eye out, because you all are not ready for how STUNNING it is!! What have I been reading and loving recently? I’m so glad you asked! I actually read what I think will be two of my top books of the year with Pot Shot by Laura Piper Lee and Hammer & Gavel by C.T. Whistle. Two very different books, both with SO much humor, swoony romance, and heart. Pot Shot will be out May 19, and you will definitely want to preorder. I literally woke up my husband and 2 am because I was howling laughing through the first chapter alone. Hammer & Gavel and the next book in the series, Night Call, which is just as incredible, are both available now and on KU, while the third and final book, Lock Step, will be out April 16. This entire Omegaverse Case Files series is such a joy to read!!
